College Art Association (CAA) has been
a Founding Program partner of The Feminist
Art Project CAA hosts conference sessions
and special events originating from The Feminist
Art Project, as well as from CAA’smembership
that center on women’s aesthetic and
intellectual impact on the cultural record
since its inception in 2005.

In 2008, the CAA Committee on Women
in the Arts established a Distinguished
Feminist Award, which honors a person
who, through his or her art, scholarship,
or advocacy, has advanced the cause of
equality for women in the arts. The
award was given for the first time
in 2009 to the Guerrilla Girls.

We are grateful for CAA's generosity
in providing meeting rooms, publicity,
technical and other support, and
assistance that gives greater visibility
throughout the conference week to women
artists, feminist concerns and supports the
mission of The Feminist Art Project.
